Although fully automatic, the transmission allows for the maximum gear to be manually selected to prevent the vehicle gaining more speed than desired, such as when travelling downhill. Gears "2" and "3" can be selected from the gear lever and are ideal for achieving maximum engine braking at low and moderate speeds. Over drive can be locked out via a button on the gear lever which effective makes gear "4" the highest useable gear. Overdrive lock out is ideal for controlling and restricting the vehicles speed range. These added driver control features improve safety and further reduce the wear and tear on braking components. |

The gearbox is an electronically controlled hydraulic transmission. The electronics allow the gearbox greater self protection to ensure reliability.
