The North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club is located at the northern end of the Burleigh Beach and parkland area. The Club boasts a strong membership of over 1,200 Volunteer members andclose to 15,000 Supporters Club members. During September to May each year, the Active Surf Club members patrol the beach to ensure that it is a safe destination for local and interstate or overseas visitors.
The Club is proud of maintaining a ‘fatality free’ beach and does this by ensuring that the highest standards of Life Saving education and facilities are available. Membership ages start from just 5 years and the strength of the Club’s future Surf Lifesavers is seen every Sunday from September
through to April with the Nippers involved in beach and water activities.
Amongst the membership is a band of members whose commitment to becoming the elite in the arena of Surf Life Saving competition sees the Club at the forefront of Surf Sports not only in Australia but in the International arena. North Burleigh boasts high standards in all Surf Sports
disciplines including Board and Ski Paddlers, Surf Swimmers, IRB Team racing and Surf Boat crews. |

Established in 1949, the Club started its iconic life as a tent on the beach and after several transitions, it has evolved into a premier facility that boasts excellent Hospitality as well as Life Saving facilities. With the recent development of the Restaurant and the construction of the
Oceanview Function Room, the Club caters for the casual diner through to weddings and corporate events. With stunning views, quality dining facilities and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Supporters Club has become one of the most popular destinations on the Coast.
The 2009/ 2010 Season is set to be a great year for North Burleigh as it celebrates 60 years of saving lives. It is an occasion that will be celebrated by old and new members and it is one that the local community and businesses are invited to share with the Club.
